Before campaigning for president in 2000, he served as governor of Texas for five years. Bush was elected president after winning the electoral vote despite losing the popular vote. With an IQ of 138.5, George W. Bush is another president with a lower-than-average IQ when compared to all other presidents. He is only the second president’s child, as his father, George H.W. Bush, was president for about ten years before he was elected.
